I was recently sent two reed diffusers by Grange Aromas, on pure speculation, to see what I thought. Now, I’m a late convert to reed diffusers but once Pandora’s Box was opened, I became obsessed. I’m all about the throw, the longevity, the aesthetic and of course, the scent.

To give a broad picture of their repertoire, Grange Aromas sent me Night Flowers and Woodland Garden, a good contrast, since both are very different. One is in my bathroom and one is near my desk in the dining room. They are both a month old (yes, I did mean to review them sooner) but they smell as fresh as the day I unpacked them. Let’s start with Night Flowers.

Grange Aromas Night Flowers Reed Diffuser
Ideally, a fragrance with this kind of bold sensuality belongs in a bedroom, or more fittingly, a boudoir. The first thing that beguiles you is the heady and unapologetic tuberose accord. Once you know tuberose, you will spot it anywhere. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, with its chameleon nature that can take it from floral to celery, to medicinal to creamy coconut and back again, all in one happy inhalation. Where Night Flowers is concerned, its white floral miasma gets even headier with the addition of jasmine and orange flower. All my favourite white flowers competing like bridesmaids trying to photobomb each other. Utterly glorious and deeply sensual, you can smell this from my front door. As for the aesthetic? It comes in a classically simple box with black reeds (good rounded ones, not weedy like dried spaghetti) and it keeps things elegant with a white label, black writing and a black collar for the jar. It’s plain, non fussy, looks like it comes from an apothecary and will fit in with any décor.

Grange Aromas Woodland Garden Reed Diffuser
Another of my favourite floral notes pops up here. The lesser seen lily of the valley blooms beautifully from its place in the upstairs bathroom. You can smell it as soon as you get to the top of the stairs, and the landing is 26 foot long, so I call that a decent scent throw. I am the only female in my house, so I try to add some pretty touches to the bathroom I have to share with men. The Woodland Garden Reed Diffuser is very much a part of that scheme, creating a feel that is hopefully a little more on the spa side rather than the utilitarian. Woodland Garden is mossy, green, floral and reminds me of a damp forest, which during this sticky heatwave, is truly the stuff of fantasy right now. The packaging is the same as Night Flower, except for the stripe on the box. Night Flower’s is pink and Woodland Garden’s is green. Each diffuser comes with six reeds, three enclosed in either side of the box.

About Grange Aromas
Made in the Cotswolds, this small and new (est. 2025) brand has lots to offer, not least values of sustainability and transparency. It’s clearly stated that not all ingredients can be or are locally sourced. Have you tried growing tuberose in the UK? It’s hard. I’ve never even seen it on a flower stall. With great fragrances and BIG longevity, founder Annie Bayley has much to be proud of and I can smell success in the air already.

Where to buy
You can buy reed diffusers and room sprays from the Grange Aromas website. Reed diffusers retail at £35 each and are intended to last 12 weeks. Mine are going strong a month later and show no signs of drifting away any time soon. You can also find room sprays and gift sets on the site too.
Disclosure
Both reed diffusers were sent to me as a blogger. Opinions are always my own, as is my choice to review a product.
