Vines House Parfum Natural Story: Spring is IN

Vines House Parfum, also known as VHP, is a small but perfectly formed perfume house that is the creation of Rebecca Harrison. There are seven eau de parfum fragrances in the collection and all are vegan and cruelty free. They are also refillable. I have six of them here and I will be writing about more of them soon.

I was given a set of six Vines House Parfum samples by a friend, not the brand, and I am under no obligation to review them or recommend them, but I’m going to anyway because these fragrances have bowled me over, especially VHP Natural Story.

If you’re looking for a scent that might even persuade the weather that spring is here, this one might suit you down to the ground. It has a definite nod to the colognes of old with its dazzlingly refreshing beginning, but unlike colognes of old, it has a modern twist and decent longevity.

The list of notes says: cucumber, neroli, pear, musk, iris. It’s simple and it works. I’m not always a pear fan, but when it’s blended with iris as it is here, something rather beautiful happens. This is an English Country Garden that has frosted crystals on the cobwebs and dewdrops on the fruit trees. The musk gives this an irresistible nuzzly note, like linen straight from the line on a breezy day. It’s the ideal perfume for people who don’t want to smell too perfumey if you know what I mean. I bet you do.
