Avon Eve Prive with model

Avon Eve Privé EDP by Nathalie Lorson

I’m a big fan of Nathalie Lorson and if you love her previous creations and co-creations (YSL Black Opium et al, Mugler Alien Goddess, Armani Cuir Noir) then have a look at this. Avon Eve Privé is not a heavy hitter like the three fragrances named above, but in Lorson’s hands, you can be sure of excellence, and with the Avon label, you can also be sure of affordability.

This is one of those cases where the notes don’t really match the scent. Listed on Fragrantica, it says apple, jasmine, cedar, but to my nose it smells different. My first impression was a light and breezy peach/mandarin top note. Then I thought I detected some light and summery orange blossom/neroli, with a diaphanous base of white musk. After a few minutes, crisp green Golden Delicious comes in making this as wholesome and blue skies and daises.

Avon Eve Privé is pretty, airy, floral, feminine and not too heavy for the daily commute/office test. This is a more floral scent than those you might wear on the beach, for example. It’s a feel-good fragrance that could bring a bear out of hibernation whistling a song. It certainly made me want to wear a tea dress and make daisy chains.

Avon Eve Privé is the kind of of perfume you want on a summer evening. Not sticky, not deep, not heavy, but the airy and light feminine floral that’s just what the doctor ordered as the British sun decides to hang around for a while. Incidentally, I adore the pretty frosted opaque glass bottle with its peachy ombre colouring.
