Avon Attraction Instinct For Her and For Him

Avon Attraction Instinct For Her and For Him 2025

Avon Superfan here, and today I am giving you my verdict on Avon Attraction Instinct. There’s one For Him and one For Her, although my motto is, if you like it wear it, regardless of which shelf it’s on.

Let’s start with Avon Attraction Instinct For Her, which arrives in a red glass bottle with a boxy gold lid. I recently took my bottle to my book club to ask the opinion of the six reprobates who were there that week. Of six, three loved it, two really loved it, and one wanted to wash it off! The comments were as follows: “Like Turkish Delight with a touch of oud,”, “Rosy and fruity”, “Gorgeous,” and “How much is it?”

My bottle, with a glow up edit.

My verdict? This opens with citrus fruit, strawberry and orchid, which may sound like an overly sweet combination, but in real life, it smells like the above-mentioned “Turkish Delight” with a cosy warm accord as it settles on warm skin. That’ll be the vanilla, which is a common note in the Attraction collection. If you’re not a vanilla fan, then still try it, as it doesn’t dominate, just kind of warms things up in an autumnal way.

The fruitiness gives it a zingy tangerine tang when you first spray it, but it folds nicely into the warm pink florals, before calming down in a beautifully feminine rosy glow with a hint of, would-you-believe-it-but-trust-me-it-works, chili pepper.  The orchid accord is like a dense, multi layered flower that’s so rich it stops just short of being almondy. The agikalwood gives that subtle oudiness that my friend discerned on trying it. Agikalawood is a patchouli/oudy accord that resembles oud with added earthiness and a subtle turning down of the volume knob.

This is eau de parfum strength and although I can’t smell it on myself after five hours, my pillow smells like it the next morning. All in all, fantastic value at its current price of £17, and to my nose, it smells indiscernible to more expensive  designer fragrances. This is not a dupe, but it’s bang on trend for 2025.

Avon Attraction Instinct For Him

This has the same chili pepper nuance as the feminine version, and holds its own in 2025 with a brief nostalgic nod to fougères tipping its hat. Lavender and rosemary suggests a botanical breeze (that’s the fougère nod, whether deliberate or not), but then it gets richer, combining the warmth of cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. To my nose, it has much in common with the current elixir versions of certain designer bestsellers, yet is distinctive enough to hold its own. With the spice and vanilla combo, this is a sure fire hit for colder months, with an excellent price tag of £17 for 50ml of EDP strength.
